In the final days of the 2010s, The Queer Review asked a range of artists, film experts, podcasters, playwrights, authors, filmmakers, community figures, activists and more to name their ten favourite LGBTQ+ films of the decade 2010 – 2019. Each of the over sixty contributors submitted an unranked list of ten film titles which we’ve added together to create The Queer Review Top Ten LGBTQ+ Films of the Decade 2010 – 2019. To encourage a wide range of choices, films shown at festivals, DVD/VOD only releases and made for TV movies were all eligible for selection alongside mainstream cinema releases.
Please get in touch on social media to let us know what you think of the final list as well as our contributors’ choices. We’d love to hear your own favourites too.

Bob Hawk on making his selection: There were many films that I enjoyed, appreciated, learned from, etc. However, I first eliminated the idea of choosing the “best,” which is so much about individual criteria and tastes. Even trying to choose my “favorite” films lacked any real meaning for me. The above films are the ones that affected me most deeply, viscerally and subjectively — the ones that cut closest to the bone emotionally, psychically, politically and/or aesthetically. They have that “hauntability” factor that is ineffable.
