Grit and Glitter: Before and After Stonewall

LGBTQ film series Grit and Glitter: Before and After Stonewall begins today Friday 21st June at New York’s Museum of the Moving Image running until 6th July 2019.

Marking the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall uprising and this month’s World Pride celebrations the LGBTQ film series at the Museum of the Moving Image (MoMI) has been organised by guest curators Donal Mosher and Michael Palmieri (October Country, The Gospel of Eureka). According to MOMI the films selected “were chosen for both their personal impact on the renowned filmmaking duo and their continuing contribution to queerness in cinema before and after this watershed moment in American society.”
