The Broadway production of Matthew Lopez’s epic two-part queer play The Inheritance has received 11 Tony Award nominations, while Jeremy O. Harris’ Slave Play featuring prominent queer characters has received 12 Tony nods, with both receiving Best Play nominations, alongside Grand Horizons and Sea Wall: A Life. The 2020 Tony nominees for Best Musical are Jagged Little Pill, Moulin Rouge: The Musical, and Tina: The Tina Turner Musical.
