The San Francisco International LGBTQ+ Film Festival, Frameline, opens tonight 20th June 2019 with lesbian period drama Vita & Virginia.
As Pam Grady notes in the festival’s programme, the film features “sensational star turns by Elizabeth Debicki (Widows) as Virginia Woolf and Gemma Arterton (Quantum of Solace) as Vita Sackville-West” and brings “to dazzling life one of the great lesbian love affairs of the 20th century in this erotic blend of literary biography and romantic intrigue that had audiences at the Toronto International Film Festival raving.”
Frameline, the San Francisco International LGBTQ+ Film Festival, runs from today 20th June until Sunday 30th June 2019. For full festival programme head to the official website here.
