GALECA: The Society of LGBTQ Entertainment Critics has announced the winners of its 2024 Dorian TV Awards. There were major wins for Hacks, which took four Dorians including Best TV Comedy and Best Written TV Show, as well as performance wins for its stars Jean Smart and Hannah Einbinder, while Anne Rice’s Interview With A Vampire won the Dorians for Best TV Drama, Best LGBTQ TV Show and Best Genre TV Show. Matt Bomer won Best TV Performance – Drama and Jonathan Bailey named Best Supporting TV Performance – Drama for their roles in the epic gay limited series Fellow Travelers created by Ron Nyswaner. Baby Reindeer was named Best TV Movie or Limited Series and Chucky was lovingly bestowed the accolade of Campiest TV Show. HBO’s Last Call: When A Serial Killer Stalked Queer New York won the Dorian for Best LGBTQ TV Documentary Or Documentary Series.
The group also named the recipients of its WILDE WIT AWARD, “to a performer, writer or commentator whose observations both challenge and amuse”, its TV Icon Award, “to a uniquely talented star we adore, and its LGBTQIA+ TV Trailblazer Award.
