The Last of Us, Somebody Somewhere, The White Lotus & Abbott Elementary lead in Society of LGBTQ Entertainment Critics’ Dorian TV Awards nominations

GALECA: The Society of LGBTQ Entertainment Critics has revealed the nominations for its 2023 Dorian TV Awards. HBO’s heart-rending apocalyptic drama The Last of Us tops the list with eight nods, including Best TV Drama, while the second season of HBO’s poignant comedy about a single woman and her friends navigating life in small town Kansas, Somebody Somewhere, garnered six nominations, including Best TV Comedy, and HBO’s scintillating Sicilian stay at The White Lotus racked up five nominations. ABC’s middle school set mockumentary series Abbott Elementary, which snatched last year’s Best TV Comedy Dorian Award, notched up four nods from the national group of over 480 journalists, which also honors film and theatre in separate awards.
